| New Dumpster RulesPosted Wednesday, July 02, 2008 by ScottJuly 1, 2008
To all owners and tenants:
The good news is that effective July 1, 2008 the new dumpsters will be operational. This means that you will no longer put your trash or recycle at the curbside for pickup. You will be able to put your trash in the dumpsters when you choose to. There are also recycle bins in the enclosure area. This should solve the problem of people putting their trash/ recycling out too early or late and having trash all over the community.
To make this a successful transition we need to keep several things in mind. Trash should be put in trash bags and tied before placing in the dumpsters. I have included a list of what can go in the recycle bins. There are multiple recycle bins and all of them can be used for paper, plastic, aluminum and glass. You no longer need to separate out and place in separate bins.
Large items should not be placed in the dumpster enclosure. You will need to contact AAA for large/oversized items. AAA can be reached at 703 818-8222. If you notice anyone placing large items in or around the enclosure please report this to TWC. You should get the tag number of the car or attempt to see where they live. Otherwise the community has to bear the cost of removal. Fines can be assessed for dumping trash and well as the actual cost to remove the items. We have noticed that trash has already been placed in the enclosures.
We will be installing lights at all of the dumpsters during the month of July.
Finally, in order to balance usage we have assigned each building a dumpster location that you should use. We realize there is no perfect solution in assigning dumpsters to the buildings but we have done our best to make the walk as close as possible while trying to balance the number of buildings per dumpster.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact TWC.
Sincerely,

[Discussion] Maintenance Fee IncreasedPosted Saturday, January 29, 2005 by ScottThe SummerRidge Board of Directors determined that the monthly maintenance fee will be increased to $175.00 per month per unit starting January 1st 2005, up only $10 from $165.00 where it had remained steady for several years. Increased costs of contractors and paying down the snow removal and ice damage deficit from the last 2 years contributed to the increase.
SummerRidge continues to have one of the lowest condo maintenance fees in all of Reston, while keeping well-maintained and a charming appearance.
